The Proposal

As told by Gina:

On Saturday, January 9, 2010, I was in class all day long. When I got home David was standing in the kitchen acting very casual.  We began our usual conversation of catching up on the events of the day.  Mid-way through this conversation he started to walk away from me and upstairs. In order to finish the conversation I had to follow him.

Once upstairs, I noticed a small piece of paper on my pillow. It was a clue! David had created a scavenger hunt that led me all around the house. I thought we were playing just for fun the whole time. Silly me. Part way through I was rewarded with a bottle of wine. A good bottle and my favorite kind, so I thought that was the end of the hunt. Time for vino! David then showed me the clue that was hidden on the bottom of the bottle. At that point I kind of knew something was up.

The last clue led me to a container on our bookshelf. I opened it up and inside was a little ring box. At this point I started crying. David took the ring from me, got down on one knee, said some love-y things that I don't even remember cause I was in shock, and then asked me to marry him.

Through my tears of joy I said "yes"!

I am still shocked that David was able to surprise me. He proposed a month to the day before our 2 year anniversary. I can't wait to marry this amazing man!

Engaged!
